Here lie the mortal remains of Joshua son of James and Rachel James Upper House Farm in the Parish of Llanelly, County of Brecon, born February 7th 1837, died at Clydach shop January 3rd 1862 (?) Verse. Side 2 Also of the said James James who died at Grove Cottage, Llanelly, Breconshire September 18th 1875 aged 78 years Verse. Also in loving memory of Rachel wife of the above named who died August 7th 1881 (?) aged 76 years. Verse. Also of William son of James and Rachel James died June 24th 1903 aged 71 years. In loving memory of George Hiley James, son of James and Rachel James who departed this life at Brooklyn House, Clydach March 16th 1904 aged 71 years. "God is my glory". Also the remains of Thomas, the son of the said James and Rachel James, who died March 18th 1865 aged 21 (?) years. In loving memory of Ann, beloved wife of Davis Jones, Woodhouse, Llanelly, Breconshire, daughter of the late James and Rachel James, who died January 5th 1883 aged 53 years Verse

  • Notes: Rachel James nee Lewis born 1804. Fourth daughter of Joshua and Mary Lewis Ty Frim Llanwenarth, and sister of Isaac Lewis
